The descending thoracic aorta is an attractive alternative source of inflow for aortoiliac reconstruction in patients with unusually difficult conditions contraindicating use of the infrarenal aorta. This video demonstrates the technical aspects of such bypass grafting to the iliac arteries used at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
