A 27 year old white male presented with subacute bacterial endocarditis with an annular abscess and annular aortic ectasia of the ascending aorta. The patient underwent five weeks of antibiotic therapy following which he had a classic Bental operation using the button technique with repair of the annular abscess with glutaraldehyde-prepared pericardium. The patient's postoperative angiogram is presented.
