The posterior approach to the popliteal artery is recommended for arterial lesions that are limited to the popliteal fossa. This tape will review three cases in which the posterior approach to the popliteal artery is useful: (1) entrapment, (2) cystic adventitial disease, and (3) popliteal entrapment with artery aneurysm.
