Nephron-sparing surgery (NSS) for renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is primarily indicated when there is a need to preserve functioning renal parenchyma. Extended experience has established that NSS can be performed safely with preservation of renal function and long-term cure of RCC in many patients. This videotape demonstrates the technical aspects of NSS for RCC in four cases of varying complexity.
