Open or laparoscopic lymphocelectomy carries a 15% recurrence rate. A simpler procedure of catheter marsupialization was performed, under local anesthesia, successfully in 15 patients followed for 8 years. One patient required open drainage because of catheter retraction. This technique can be added to the transplant surgeon's armamentarium.
