Urachal remnant is a congenital anomaly usually asymptomatic. A patient presented with acute abdominal pain secondary to an infected patent urachal diverticulum. After resolution of acute symptoms with antibiotics, a laparoscopic excision was done to prevent recurrent complications of infection, calculus or neoplasic transformation. The video of this surgery is presented.
