Ureteroscopy offers endoscopic access to the entire upper urinary tract. Both rigid and flexible ureteroscopes should be employed to achieve the optimal access to each portion of the upper urinary tract. The wide range of indications for ureteroscopy and the diagnostic and therapeutic devices used with the endoscopes have expanded. Specific endoscopes and specific working instruments should be used for optimal results. In this video, several different rigid and flexible ureteroscopes andworking instruments including lithotriptors and lasers are demonstrated in appropriate clinical applications.
