The use of fibrin sealant (FS) has been described in multiple procedures in urology. Fibrin sealant use may be especially applicable in laparoscopic procedures, which currently require technically challenging intracorporeal suturing. This video reviews the mechanism and components of fibrin sealant. Surgical uses, results, and complications from the literature are reviewed. Fibrin sealant use in laparoscopic ureteral reanastomosis, renal trauma and bladder neck suspension in porcine models are demonstrated.
