From August 1993 to May 1995, lower or upper pole heminephroureterectomy has been performed in 9 children without any complications. This video program demonstrates a left laparoscopic heminephroureterectomy performed on a 13-month-old boy. The lower portion of the left duplex kidney was nonfunctioning due to reflux. The function of the remaining kidney did not deteriorate as a result of the intervention.
