Noninvasive staging of prostate cancer is highly inaccurate whereas an open retroperitoneal lymph node dissection is associated with several complications and a prolonged recovery. Recently, laparoscopic lymphadenectomy is gaining popularity because of several advantages. This video reviews the indications and technique for performing this procedure.
