Length: 10 min.

A high resolution video camera completely covers the eyepiece of the resectoscope lens. Judgements for cutting tissue and fulgurating blood vessels are obtained by viewing a television screen. From a standing position, the surgeon uses both eyes for observing the magnified surgical field. High irrigation flow is necessary for maintaining clarity of the video image. A coordinated continuous flow system with pressure sensor control addresses many ofthe variables encountered. Highlights of a prostate resection and a bladder tumor resection are presented.
