The electromechanical impactor (EMI) is a 3 F EHL electrode enclosed within a spring with a metal end cap and an exterior stainless case. The OD is 5 F. The mechanics of creation and delivery of the 800 bar EMI impact are described. The EMI is passed through a ureterscope for fragmentation of ureteral calculi.
