The case is diagnostic laparoscopy of a patient presenting with blunt abdominal trauma. The patient was noted to have a significant amount of pneumoperitoneum on CT scan. A large perforation of the second portion of the duodenum was discovered. This was repaired entirely laparoscopically in two layers with 2-0 GI silk suture. Then an omental patch was also used to buttress the repair. The patient did well and was discharged to rehab without complication from the operation.
