We present a case of rectovesicle fistula, which resulted from an abdominal gun shot injury. After several failed attempts to repair this fistula, trans-abdominally and transanally, he was referred to our colorectal department where we successfully repaired his fistula with the York Mason procedure.
This video presentation discusses the basic anatomy, etiology of rectourinary fistulae and the advantages of the York Mason procedure in providing excellent exposure of the mid-lower rectum in the repair of such fistula. A step-by-step illustration of the York Mason procedure is demonstrated on the video.
