The use of vaginal hysterectomy is encouraged, since serious morbidity occurs much less frequently than with total abdominal hysterectomy. The technique of vaginal hysterectomy, and enterocele, cystocele, and rectocele repair is demonstrated in a patient with severe procidentia.
