Minimally Invasive approaches to pancreas are largely diagnostic, however with experience pancreatic resections are now routinely performed. Whipple resection remains a formidable laparoscopic task however following a resection robotic assistance can enable an acceptable reconstruction. Distal pancreatectomy with or without splenectomy is now a routine procedure for small solid or cysts masses in the tail of the pancreas. Reviewed within this video are highlights of a proximal and distal pancreatectomy using minimally invasive techniques.
