This teaching videotape shows our routine procedure. Particular emphasis is placed on the following key steps to reduce morbidity: anatomy-based resection; preservation of the neurovascular supply to the pylorus; muscosa to muscosa pancreaticojejunal anastomosis; temporary diversion of the pancreatic juice through a tube inserted in the pancreatic duct.
