A 16 year old female patient was referred to us suffering from hereditary chronic pancreatitis. The first therapeutic approach included successive insertion of two endoprostheses into the Wirsung duct. At operation, the endoprostheses were removed from the Wirsung duct, and a longitudinal Roux-en-Y pancreaticojejunostomy was performed. The patient's postoperative course was uneventful.
