The indications for radical pancreatoduodenectomy at the Mayo Clinic are presented, followed by a demonstration of the surgical technique. Particular emphasis is placed on the construction of the pancreatojejunal anastomosis which continues to be the principle cause for postoperative morbidity and mortality.
