During the course of 15 years (1980-1994), the author has accumulated his personal experience of radical resection of craniopharyngiomas in 73 cases. Of these, several different operative approaches have been utilized: transsphenoidal, interhemispheric translaminar terminalis, interhemispheric transcallosal, frontotemporal trans-Sylvian, and frontotemporal pericavernous. This videotape demonstrates four different operative approaches with detailed microsurgical technique for total removal of craniopharyngioma tumors.
