Gastrointestinal mesenchymal or stromal tumors (GIST) are lesions originated on digestive tract walls, which are treated by surgical resection. Several laparoscopic techniques, from gastrectomies to segmental resections, have been used successfully. In this clinical case: Young woman 39 years old with abdominal pain in the left iliac fossa and clinically palpable mass, performs a CT scan that shows: bulky mass with irregular density that occupies most of the abdomen, the size of about 15 cm, with marked and asymmetrical thickening of the walls of the stomach characterized by irregular enhancement after contrast.
