Cellular fibromas are mesenchymal tumors first desbribed in 1997. The presence of this tumor within the retroperitoneal space of the pelvis is an extremely rare event. Surgical treatment is the main option. We report the first reported robotic resection of a pelvic retroperitoneal cellular fibroma performed with the da Vinci Xi surgical platform. The robotic approach allowed several advantages, including the use of intraoperative fluorescence (Firefly), allowing better visualization of the precise surgical plane between the tumor and nearby structures (such as the iliac muscle). Operative time was 3 hours, with virtually no intraoperative bleeding. Postoperative period was uneventful.
