Length: 19 min.

The posterior buttressed mesh repair of inguinal hernias provides a mechanically superior repair when compared to nonmesh or anterior repairs. Laparoscopy provides a minimally invasive access to the preperitoneal space for mesh placement, thereby allowing the patient a comfortable, and at times, accelerated return to full activity. This video details the technique of this repair.
