As Nyhus states, "the preperitoneal approach to the management of hernias of the groin with the use of mesh is safe, allows anatomic definition of all hernia defects and is followed my minimal morbidity". Since we first reported 365 laparoscopic TEP repairs in 1995 our technique has continued to evolve. The following video depicts our approach for the repair of a left inguinal hernia.
