This tape demonstrates a nonsuture technique that permits a safe, long-term control of the anastomosis. A Roux-en-Y loop anchored to the hepatic hilum with a transhepatic Levin F 14-16 catheter is used. When the Levin catheter is retired, a nylon thread is left in place for future use.
