Extensive or multiple small bowel strictures are an uncommon, but important manifestation of Crohn's disease. Strictureplasty of the segments achieves relief of obstructive symptoms with acceptably low complication rates while maintaining maximum preservation of intestinal lengths. Problematic clinical situations are managed with a variety of methods of structureplasty.
