The role of the radiation oncologist in the management of breast cancer is complex. His appropriate interpretation of images, surgical procedure performed, and pathologic evaluation determines the type and extent of radiation. This presentation will demonstrate the techniques necessary to optimize uniformity of radiation dose and the minimization of normal tissue complications.
