Resection of distal esophagus and proximal stomach in reoperation of achalasia and hiatal hernia or as primary indication on Barrett's and adenocarcinoma continue growthing due to the good results published. Two patients suffered resection of distal third of the esophagus and on block proximal gastrectomy. On the first the reconstruction was done by interposed jejunal loop. On the second isoperistaltic splenic flexure of the colon was used. The movie try to show the differences discussing the indications of the two procedures. The movie includes cartoons for a better understanding. Both patients was discharged on the 15th and 19 postoperative day without complications. The patients were followed during the postoperative following days and after during five years.
