We present a case of a 46 year old female with history of gastric outlet obstruction. An upper endoscopy reveled a benign circumferential gastric outflow tract ulcer. A laparoscopic partial gastrectomy with a Billroth I reconstruction was performed. Our patient did not required PCA for postoperative pain control, PO intake was resumed on postoperative day 3 and the patient was discharged home on postoperative day 4. During one year, three laparoscopic hemi-gastrectomies have been performed in our institution, two for refractory obstructive ulcer disease and one for a T1N0M0 gastric carcinoma. Laparoscopic gastrectomy with Billroth I reconstruction is a viable option for selected patients. In this video we briefly discuss our technique and small series experience.
