Pancreatic cystic neoplasms are being diagnosed with increasing frequency. The surgical options are limited for lesions of the pancreatic head and uncinate. Typically a pancreaticoduodenectomy is required for an uncinate mass. Local resection of a cystic neoplasm would be preferable, but may require partial duodenectomy for exposure or as a consequence of devascularization. Herein is demonstrated an isolated uncinate resection without duodenectomy. The patient was incidentally found to have a solitary unilocular cyst in the uncinate. She had prior history of breast cancer, and desired resection.
