We developed and utilized the linear endostapler technique in 1996 to perform the gastrojejunostomy and entero-enterostomy during laparoscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass, and have performed over 1300 cases with only two anastamotic leaks (0.15%). This video demonstrates that technique.
