Granular cell myoblastomas are extremely rare tumors arising from schwann cells. A 54 year old female presented with complaints of dysphagia and retrosternal discomfort for several months duration. Esophagogram revealed a submucosal mass in the distal esophagus. Endoscopic biopsy demonstrated a granular cell tumor. A laparoscopic approach allowed for complete excision.
