An abdominal wall reconstruction and colostomy takedown are demonstrated on a obese patient that presented with a 10 year history of having a progressively worsening abdominal wall hernia, intermittent colostomy obstruction and tension skin ulceration. The technique used involved mobilization of the rectus muscle as well as in-lay and on-lay mesh placement.
