The complex tasks & advanced skills necessary for laparoscopy pose many challenges to surgeions. Robotic surgical systems have been developed to aid surgeons in performing these tasks. The Zeus Robotic system was used in a randomized prospective trial to evaluate its feasibility, ease of use, and risk of adverse events. Other than some prolongation in OR times, the system performed without failures, complications, or adverse events.
