Laparoscopic nissen fundoplication has become more commonplace. With it's increased utilization, the expected complications and 10% symptom recurrence rate has been experienced. A comprehensive classification of mechanisms of recurrence from our repetitive experience is offered and endoscopic videotape examples are shown.
