R.M; a 72 year old women presented with a 17 cm, highly vascular, neuroendocrine tumor of the neck. After embolization of the external carotid artery the mass was resected. This video will demonstrate the operative removal of a 2.5 pound malignant carotid body tumor which necessitated resection of the carotoid bifurcation with reanastomosis of the common carotid artery to the internal carotid artery at the base of the skull.
