Resection of ileocecal Crohn's disease is ideally suited to laparoscopic techniques. Fistula, abscess or phlegmon do not preclude this approach. A three-trocar technique is presented, illustrating intracorporeal mobilization, exteriorization via a 4 cm periumbilical incision, and extracorporeal mesenteric division, resection, and anastomosis. The procedure is safe, expeditious and effective.
