The patient is a 25 year old woman with an acute complaint of difficulty swallowing and pain on swallowing. She also had complaints of epigastric pain as well. A barium swallow and upper endoscopy have shown her to have a distal esophageal diverticulum. The video shows the patient receiving laparoscopic esophageal diverticulectomy, myotomy and antireflux procedure. The patient is currently doing well.
