This video presents the problems of the indiscriminate use of metallic stents in malignant obstructions. One patient treated by total gastrectomy, suffered from recurrence at the esophagoyeyunal anastomosis level. For the management of this stenotic recurrence, the patient was unsuccessfully treated with the installment in three different times of a Wallstent prosthesis. The patient in aphagia, with three prosthesis installed through the anastomosis was finally treated by esophageal distal resection (including the prosthesis) extended to the diaphragm and the Y-Roux loop which was perforated by the prosthesis.
