Temporary closure of abdominal wounds has gained popularity in the management of severe peritoneal sepsis, massive trauma and the treatment or prevention of abdominal compartment syndrome. We illustrate and compare various techniques of closure including towel clips, the ?Bogota bag", mesh closure, Velcro TAC procedure, and the vacuum pack.
