After developmental work in 33 pigs, the Hill anti-reflux operation has now been performed laparoscopically in more than 260 patients with good to excellent results in 92%. This video outlines the concepts behind the repair, the anatomic landmarks, and detailed technique in its successful performance. Advantages over other laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures are also noted.
