The patient had suffered from dysphagia since a year after he had undergone transhiatal esophagectomy with left tonsillectomy for his carcinoma of the middle esophagus and left tonsil. A giant fistula between the trachea and gastric tube was found by an esophagogram and endoscopy. This was closed successfully by a myocutaneous flap of the right latissimus dorsi.
