A female in an emergency situation caused by esophagogastric destruction produced by caustic ingestion was treated by total esophagogastrectomy and isoperistaltic left colon. Tracheal intubation was maintained for 2.5 months and a fistula between the colon and trachea was established. Treatment was performed by sternum split, closure of the colon fistula and tracheal closure by esternocleidomastoideus flap sutured to the tracheal opening interposed between the trachea and colon. The video concludes with postoperative tracheal endoscopy.
