This video demonstrates the details of the technique of a laparoscopic splenectomy, performed in a two year old female with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura who was unresponsive to medical management. The use of bipolar electrosurgical instruments, a lap sac, and an automatic tissue morcellator are discussed.
