With recent advances in laparoscopic surgery, reconstructive procedures such as Nissen fundoplication are now possible. We now perform laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication in infants and children of all ages. The steps of the operation are identical to the open procedure. An example of the technique we use is demonstrated in this tape.
