This video illustrates the versatility of the lateral retroperitoneal approach to right adrenalectomy. Extra-peritoneal dissection and identification of venous structures is ideal. In circumstances requiring conversion to the trans-peritoneal approach, the retroperitoneal lateral instruments provide important retraction for venous exposure. This combination provides excellent versatility.
