This video delineates the two-team approach to laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection (APR) with a coordinated approach between laparoscopic and perineal surgeons providing wide resection of surrounding tissue and high ligation of the inferior mesenteric artery. Functional pneumoperitoneum is maintained during communication to the perineal wound. There is minimal blood loss and operating time is 85 minutes.
