A simple stapling technique for the construction of an ileal J-pouch for an ileoanal pull-through procedure is depicted. The technique avoids potential contamination to the pelvis, facilitates the subsequent ileoanal anastomosis and avoids unnecessary enterotomies which may be the source of postoperative dehiscences.
