This video discusses the surgical management of three common problems of the anorectum: fissure in ano, fistulas and hemorrhoids. The proper preparation and positioning of the patient for the operation is emphasized. These minor procedures can be successfully performed on an outpatient basis with the use of local anesthesia. Our anesthetic technique is discussed and demonstrated.
