Using computer technology, we have produced an animated videotape of laryngeal embryogenesis which illustrates the development of the larynx and demonstrates how developmental arrest can lead to congenital anomalies. Animation affords the observer a visual representation of a complex and dynamic process, not easily conceptualized through static illustrations.
